Job Description


The Business Development Department’s Principal Function is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They must then plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company, they develop rapport with new clients and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. Business Development Managers is expected to work with the mid and senior level management, marketing and technical staff.

Strategic planning is a key part of this role, to develop the pipeline of new business coming into the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions / services the company can provide. Simply put, this Department is expected to develop new business, retain clients, create a strategic plan on “how” to develop new business, do feasibility studies, market research and develop corporate branding.

The following functions and documentary obligations are required to be performed in a timely, accurate manner to the full satisfaction and approval of HOD Business Development and Managing Director.
-Various roles which includes but is not limited to Planning; Advertising; Public Relations, Event Organization, Product/Service Development, Distribution, Sponsorship and Research
-Customer Relationship Management
-Photo shoots and marketing materials
-Periodic Web-Site Updates
-Article / Branding conceptualization, write-ups and proofreading
-Customer Database management
-Market Research, Campaigns and Exhibitions
-Competitor Research and Monitoring
-Reports:
*Weekly and Monthly Marketing Status
*Web-Site News and Updates
*Other Reports as may be required

Job Requirement


-Must have related University Degree (e.g. Marketing, Advertising or other related fields)
-With minimum five years’ experience in the same capacity
-OR Equivalent career in an Advertising Agency catering mostly to the Construction industry is preferable.
-Experience in branding, market research, advertising preferably in the construction sector
-Experience working with a wide network of employees, Top Management and Stakeholders
-Experience in identifying and analyzing issues and providing advice and recommendations to a range of different audiences
-Recent experience in policy development and a sound understanding of Cambodian government’s framework.
-Excellent leadership, coordination and negotiation skills.
-Understanding of CMEDCC’s Management Philosophy.
-Be willing to be stationed in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
